Ran a couple of sites in highsec near Jita uncontested. The sites pile up in highsec as people don't bother much, likely after they found out that the drop rate of boosters in highsec is very low (I got none after 12 sites). In lower sec the drop rate is higher than 50%, and it looks like only the battleship end boss will drop boosters. In highsec the final spawn was always a cruiser.

ItGÇÖs not competitive as most things in EVE Online. ItGÇÖs like a race between Mini and Bugatti Veyron. IGÇÖm just pointing to respect somebodyGÇÖs deeds and time, at least in High-Sec. Who likes the WareFare mechanic when you have to collide around the beacon by killing rats, being like a shrimp on the plate, for 15-20 min and during the last 40 sec somebody from your faction jumps in (or in the worst case an opposite fleet jumps in)?
I cleared the sites in my Svipul (as usual) with ease and almost no damage to my shields in less than 5min (didn't watch time, but it felt very fast). I'm pretty sure an AC-Thrasher would perform similarly. Using a Cruiser is overkill for these sites, and maybe even makes you slower.
Regarding competition, I had none in highsec yesterday, as said, in the Forge nobody seemed to bother. Can't say how it evolved for today (will be offline for a week). Lowsec was basically fine, I lost two sites to a Vigilant and an Orthrus (won't fight those solo in a Svipul ), but was able to secure 8 sites and got 6 boosters thanks to the better drop rate. No kill scored, sadly. A Caracal and Punisher ran from my little boat.

Maybe only when he would steal the spoils and quickly warp out in warp stabbed frigate with some tanking mods that give a ton of hp to not be oneshooted. Yea. The message to them is basically: If you want to be competetive, you need to pay $$$. Well... EvE is not 'free 2 play' game. Alpha is only extended trial. Do not expect equal power of Alpha and Omega players. This will kill the game very fast. I dont think anyone is expecting Alpha and Omega to be the same but on the other hand if alpha cant get a fair shake then whats the point. LOL Ive already have had 3 friends who played awhile and said screw this 'pay to play' see you (I or at least my alt) was a sucker and bought 4 months omega..but Im really thinking after that Im gonna be done too. This rouge swarm just seems to be payout for the ppl that have been here the longest, it was alright before when you could actually run it without 2-4 ppl warping in and stealing the final kill, but now that thats happening I really dont see the point on wasting the time on it. just my $2isk. I have the impression you are either trolling or just here to confirm your preconceived opinion. We see this often, but as an EvE player you need to think outside the box, because you almost always must outwit other real people to succeed. The environment & mechanics are very good balanced, the problem is not the Alpha status but your willingness to adapt and find a solution to a challenge. There are several solutions in this case.
